Arizona Production Association Meeting

The Arizona Production Association had a meeting this fist of month of the year. Covering topics such as film incentives to grow more business and entice productions to come to Arizona. For several years we as a state have had no to little incentives. There have been some major films here in the last decade but not enough. Plenty of reality shows especially when talking about the border of Mexico.

What we are working on is a bill that will give production back the sales tax they spend during production. Mainly for films under the 10 million dollar budget. even though other states have "better" incentives, at least its a start.

The problem with creating incentives is where will they draw the line. Will Arizona become an over saturated market for film productions where the freedoms we have to anywhere will be restricted with red tape and fees?
